MH Media

Marriott Harrison was originally established as a specialist media practice. Notwithstanding its present diversity, media still informs much of the work undertaken by the firm's lawyers across the board.

Much of the work that is undertaken by the Media team involves a broad based knowledge of Intellectual Property law. We have extensive knowledge of copyright, trade marks, design rights and other species of Intellectual Property which we employ in all sectors, particularly in connection with sponsorship, merchandising, branding, marketing and advertising matters.

On the entertainment side, the firm's traditional practice areas of film and television are still very much in evidence. At the same time the firm has a well established music practice and an industry wide recognised practice in computer games. This firm is also active in advising theatre owners and production companies.

We regularly deal with a broad range of Information Technology related matters, whether acting on software procurement arrangements or for software developers and publishers.

We also act for a number of telecoms clients, dealing with interconnect, satellite capacity, network and other industry agreements.

In addition, the media team provide support for corporate transactions or litigation matters that involve elements of media and Intellectual Property law.

Unlike many firms where individual lawyers are encouraged to specialise in one or other of the media, all those in the Media team are encouraged to embrace and practice across a broad range of subjects. This allows us to address the convergence of technologies and give our clients a comprehensive service to fit all their needs.

The following staff are members of MH Media:
Carys Damon, Mark Halama, Chloe Hymas, Tony Morris, Jaclyn Wilkins
