Venture Capital Trusts

As VCTs are tax driven investment vehicles they involve a greater number of technical aspects than other investment funds. This is the case not only in the structure of the VCT, which must be quoted on the main list of the Stock Exchange, but also in the investments it makes.

On the investment side, although the transactions are basic venture capital investments, the structure of the investment must comply with the tax legislation. Pre-clearance from the Revenue is normally required and the documentation must protect against future non compliance.
