Throughout the firm we have a broad range of experience in advising clients on general commercial matters that arise in running a business be they day to day requirements, such as standard contractual terms and conditions, or complex agreements for high value one off projects.

We like to get to know our clients and their business so that we can tailor our advice to their specific needs. This enables us to not only advise on the legal documentation, but also to understand the commercial context to which the documents are to apply and, if necessary to negotiate terms on our clients' behalf.

Common types of arrangements on which we are asked to advise include licensing, agency, distribution, asset acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and so on. Key elements of such arrangements may include protection of intellectual property rights and ensuring the arrangements do not contravene the raft of European legislation on subjects such as distance selling and e-commerce, commercial agents, data protection and competition.
